Renato Cayuela is the Associate Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Enterprise Applications and Platform Services at the Â鶹´«Ã½. With over 20 years of experience in higher education technology leadership, Renato specializes in enterprise digital transformation, legacy system modernization, and IT governance. At Â鶹´«Ã½, he directs the university's core application ecosystem, including Ellucian Banner and D2L Brightspace, and governs strategic managed service partnerships to deliver reliable, user-centered technology solutions that directly support the academic mission. Prior to joining Â鶹´«Ã½, Renato held progressive leadership roles at Yale University, the University of Colorado, and the University of Texas. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colorado and is a passionate advocate for healthy organizational culture. Currently a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) candidate at Southern Connecticut State University, his empirical research focuses on inclusive leadership, psychological safety, and technology acceptance in higher education IT.
